The Archdiocesan centenary memorial pastoral centre at kacheripady, Ernakulam occupies a prominent place among the institutions of the archdiocese of verapoly. Ashirbhavan named by its founder late Archbishop Cornelius Elanjikal literally means ‘ The House of Blessing ’ .The Foundation stone blessed by His Holiness Pope John Paul II on February 7, 1986 was laid by His Grace Archbishop Cornelius Elanjikal on April 18, 1988. The Formal blessing and inauguration was conducted on May 1, 1990. The Administrative block was blessed by His Grace Archbishop Daniel Acharuparambil on 19th December 2001.
Major commissions and associations of the archdiocese are function from this centre. The centre conduct various programmes such as leadership training programmes , Teachers training programme, Marriage preparation courses, Retreat for priest and religious, and various socio-cultural seminars and conferences.
Even though Ashirbhavan situated in the middle of cochin metro city, its calm and eco-friendly atmosphere is a real blessing.
